As part of the Familiarisation visit program for the Non-resident Heads of Missions accredited to Fiji from Canberra and Wellington, the diplomats took part in the tree planting programme at the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park on Wednesday 21st August 2019.

They were joined by the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Forestry, Mr Pene Baleinabuli who officiated at the event.

The initiative is aligned with the Ministry’s program on 4 Million Trees in 4Years Initiative. The Non-resident Heads of Missions were in the country for the purpose of exploring various opportunities for cooperation, and to identify areas of mutual interest that would enhance bilateral relations between Fiji and their respective countries. The familiarisation visit program, with the theme “Nurturing Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development,” is held this week from Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd August 2019.
